ParticipAction Community Challenge

The Community Challenge is a national physical activity and sport initiative that encourages everyone in Canada to get active throughout June in search of Canada’s Most Active Community, which will win $100,000 to support local sport and physical activity initiatives.

POUND FITNESS CLASSES

Poudfit is a full body, drumming inspired workout that combines cardio, strength training, and yoga/pilates inspired movements to some pretty awesome & energizing music! 
It uses Ripstix (lightly weighted drumsticks) to make drumming an effective way to exercise.

ADULT DROP-IN VOLLEYBALL

Come and play some fun recreational volleyball at the Community Multi-Purpose Centre on Tuesday evenings!


Starting in June for the ParticipAction Challenge - Pay a Toonie and bring along a food item donation for Good Neighbours Food Centre

If you do not have a food item donation, the rate for drop-in volleyball remains at $3.00/person.

RUN, WALK & WHEEL CHALLENGE

Participants have the option of completing a ✅1 km, ✅3 km or ✅5 km distance - running, walking or wheeling for prizes! 🏆 
Come on your own, with your co-workers, kids or a friend and do your body some good!

WHEN: Friday, June 6th and Friday, June 20th
TIME: 12:30-3:00 pm
WHERE: Start and end at Centennial Park


We will have 3 check stops along the route where Valley Action Abilities Group Home residents and staff of the Learning Tree Daycare will greet you and offer water and snacks! More details on the route will be posted soon. Stay tuned!



FAMILY YOGA SESSION

Yoga is a fantastic way to have fun and connect with your family while doing some good for you!
