FIRE BAN ISSUED FOR TOWN OF ROSTHERN
PURSUANT TO FIRE SERVICES BYLAW 2025-02
Effective May 30, 2025, the Town of Rosthern has declared a FIRE BAN
This includes a prohibition on all open-air fires including the use of fire pits and outdoor fireplaces, any use of fireworks or other pyrotechnics and any other burning. Propane BBQs and gas appliances are permitted — use with extreme caution.
THIS BAN WILL BE IN EFFECT UNTIL CHANGED OR DECLARED OVER.
Offenses & Penalty:
It is an offense to contravene any provisions of this bylaw. Any convictions of an offense are subject to a penalty of no more than $1,000.00.
Where a person is in contravention under this bylaw, in addition to imposing a fine, the Municipality is entitled to be reimbursed by the person(s) for costs incurred by the Municipality in the fire protection and suppression operations that were undertaken as a result of the person(s) act or omissions that resulted in the costs to be incurred as stated in Section 121 of the Fire Services Bylaw 2025-02.
