Positive Ticket Program

Positive Ticketing is coming to Rosthern this summer!

Starting July 1,2026 the Town of Rosthern is launching a Positive Ticketing Program—an initiative designed to recognize and celebrate youth who are making positive choices in our community.

This program is all about encouraging safe behaviour, kindness, and community pride. Throughout the summer, our Community Safety Officer, along with the RCMP, will be out in the community looking for young people doing the right things, including:

  • Wearing a bike helmet
  • Crossing safely at crosswalks
  • Helping others
  • Being a positive role model in everyday situations

When youth are “positively ticketed,” they will receive a positive ticket along with a small reward—such as a free ice cream, slushie, or other treat—generously provided by local businesses.

We are grateful to our community partners, Saskatoon Co-op and Lil Bean Ice Cream, for helping us recognize and celebrate positive actions in Rosthern.

The Positive Ticketing Program will run throughout the summer and aims to build a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for everyone. By focusing on positive reinforcement, we hope to inspire youth and strengthen community connections.
