Harvest Festival

The Rosthern Harvest Festival is a community-focused event designed to bring residents, families, and visitors together to celebrate local culture, agriculture, and shared traditions. At its core, the festival is about fostering meaningful connections, creating opportunities for people of all ages to gather, interact, and build relationships in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

The Harvest Festival began in 2021, organized by the Rosthern Agricultural Society. In 2024, with Town Council approval, leadership of this community event transitioned to the Town of Rosthern Recreation Department and is now hosted in partnership with local sport, culture and recreation organizations, service agencies, and the business community. The festival is planned as an annual event, taking place on the third weekend of September.

Traditionally, the festival includes a parade, market, car show, Slo-Pitch tournament, family-friendly games and activities, a variety of food options and beer gardens, and a fireworks display. With the support of sponsors, many of these activities are offered at low or no cost, ensuring that all families can participate and feel a sense of belonging.
