New Acute Care Facility (Coming soon)
The Town of Rosthern is proud to support the development of a new hospital that will serve our community and the wider Twin Rivers region for generations to come.
This important project will replace the existing Rosthern Hospital, which was originally built in 1950 and is reaching the end of its useful life.
The new facility is being developed through a strong partnership that includes the Government of Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Health Authority, local municipalities, and community organizations such as the Sask Valley Hospital Foundation (SVHF) and the Rosthern Hospital Foundation.
The hospital plays a vital role in delivering essential health services—including 24/7 emergency care, inpatient and outpatient services, and support programs—for residents across a large regional catchment area. The new hospital will build on this foundation, addressing current infrastructure limitations while planning for future growth and evolving healthcare needs.
Planning for the new hospital is actively underway, with key milestones achieved, including site selection and the advancement into the design phase. This progress reflects the ongoing commitment and collaboration of partners at all levels, as well as the dedication of local residents and donors.
New hospital for Rosthern moves to design phase
The Sask Valley Hospital Foundation continues to play a critical role by leading fundraising efforts to support the project and ensure the community’s contribution is met. This new hospital represents more than a building—it is an investment in the long-term health, safety, and well-being of Rosthern and the surrounding region.
