Curbside Waste & Recycling Collection Information

Waste and Recycle Services are provided by LORAAS Disposal.
Please see the attached collection instructions.
Picked up on the front street on Thursdays every week alternating garbage one week then recycle the following week: 2026 Waste & Recycling Collection Calendar
Important: Put containers at curb by 7 a.m. the morning of pick up.
Containers will be required to be stored in the back or side yard.

Curbside Compost Pickup

Compost is picked up at the curb seasonally from the first Tuesday in May to the first Tuesday in November.

Large Item Pickup

Large Item Pickup is scheduled for May 25th, 2026

Transfer Station

Summer (May 1st - October 31st)

Tuesday 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. Thursday 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Saturday 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.

Winter (Nov 1 – Apr 30)

Saturday 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

(please note, that Cash and Cheques are the only form of payment accepted at the Transfer Station)
The Town owns and operates a transfer station which accepts garbage, burnables, appliances, compost and concrete.
