Rosthern has been a long-standing member of the Communities in Bloom program. The Communities in Bloom program focuses on the following:

-Improving community appearance

-Developing floral displays

-Landscaping

-Taking environmental action

-Heritage conservation.

Community beautification boosts community pride and wellness along with having a positive impact on local tourism and our economic development!!

Residents can become involved with Communities in Bloom by volunteering to help with the annual town wide clean-up, flower planting, landscaping and ongoing care and/or leading future community projects!

The Rosthern Museum & Mennonite Interpretive Centre is located in the historic red brick, 1910 home of the then German-English Academy, later Rosthern Junior College. Incorporating a mixture of Georgian and Colonial Revival elements, it stands as one of the most striking historical structures in the Rosthern area. The Museum serves as the primary historical repository for the Town of Rosthern and area and features a Mennonite Interpretive Centre introducing the story of the origins and development of Mennonite culture and faith in the Saskatchewan Valley.

The museum is open from May long weekend 'til September long weekend:

Friday and Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Rosthern Ag Society promotes and supports agricultural activities such as rodeos, cattle shows, light horse shows and educational opportunities.

A social and educational hub of our Downtown core, the Rosthern Wheatland Library sits in the perfectly central location of 6^th Street and 1^st Avenue. This branch of the Wheatland Regional Library has some impressive statistics for events, patrons, and volume of books requested. With close to 100 displays, programs, and activities throughout the year, the Library staff is second to none engagement and community learning!
