Welcome to the Rosthern Fire Department web page. We hope you find the information useful and informative. If any of your questions regarding fire and life safety are not answered, please feel free to contact us.

Rosthern Fire Department is the product of the co-operation of the Town of Rosthern and the Rural Municipality of Rosthern (403) to provide its citizens with emergency services. To this end, each entity has provided Rosthern Fire Department with an apparatus and equipment.

The Fire and Rescue Crew is dispatched through Prince Albert Emergency Communication Center, which handles 911 calls. Regular meetings for the Fire Department are held on the first and third Wednesday of the month.

The Rescue Squad holds its meetings the second Wednesday of the month.

When not on active calls, the Rosthern Fire Department and Rescue Squad participates in educational and community events.

  • Educational programs available are:
  • Stop! Drop! And Roll!
  • Exit Drills In The Home (EDITH program)
  • Fire Extinguisher Training for individuals and businesses
  • Senior Safety
  • How to call 911 in an emergency
  • Smoke Alarms save Lives!

Both the Fire and Rescue members annually participate in the Town and Country Fair Parade, contributing their time and expertise to community events.

The Rosthern Fire Department and Rescue Squad encourage citizens to join their team. An application form is available through the links below, or the Town of Rosthern office upon request.
